How did you get started writing?

It all started in 2008. At the first Twilight movie. It was opening day, and you should have seen all the teen girls scream when Edward entered the scene. It was that moment that I decided to give writing a serious try. I wanted to write YA. I wanted to provoke in readers that very same feeling, that feeling of falling in love with a character, that stand up and scream feeling. So I started writing.

When did you publish your first book?

Not until 2014. I wrote a few YA novels (that will never see the light of day) prior to my first published adult romance novel. It wasn't until I started writing New Adult, where I finally found my voice and my niche. Abbi Glines was my biggest influence during that time.

Where are you from?

Simple answer: Virginia. I've lived in Virginia the longest. I still live in Virginia. But I was born in Colorado, and being part of a military family, I grew up all over the United States. Including Guam, San Diego, Florida...to name a few.
